Rock Hill, SC – Richard Lee Sierer, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, on March 5, 1945, Richard was the beloved son of the late Marlin T. Sierer and the late Arlene Benner.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Marilyn Sierer, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and treasured memories. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Mengel (Roger); his brother, Timothy M. Sierer (Sally), and several nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Julie C. Sierer.
A graduate of Middelburg High School and Elizabethtown College, both in Pennsylvania, Richard pursued a variety of interests and careers throughout his life. He served his country honorably as a Marine Corps officer during the Vietnam War.
Richard’s passion for business and investing began with his fascination with the stock market. He later owned and operated Sierer Orchards. He then transitioned to a career as a certified financial planner in the banking industry.
Family and friendships were the cornerstone of Richard’s life. He deeply valued spending time with loved ones and cherished the moments together.
In honor of Richard’s life, remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
