Rock Hill, SC – Thomas Eagon Veitinger, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at TerraBella Senior Living in Rock Hill.

Thomas was born to the late Otto and Dorothy Veitinger on July 26, 1944, in Queens, New York.  After achieving his education, Mr. Veitinger’s career took him to the world of aviation.  Aside from his daughters, his greatest achievement took place in this industry; where he designed the entire gate area system for planes to be directed at all three New York metropolitan airports.  His success and achievement also extended into his personal life, where he was a successful craftsman, gardener, and technician for his own cars.  He also thoroughly enjoyed scuba diving and skiing in his free time.  He will be dearly missed.

Mr. Veitinger is survived by his children, Lisa Ardrey of Charlotte, NC and Jennifer Riell (Alex) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, David Ardrey Jr. and Lily Ardrey of Charlotte, NC, and Ysabella Riell, and Colin Riell of Fort Mill, SC; his dogs, Tonga and Bubba; and his cousins, Margie Critelli and her children, Gregory and Robert Barton.
