Rock Hill, SC – James “Jimmy” E. Miner Jr., 73, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Jimmy was born on October 19, 1951, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he was the beloved son of the late James Earl Miner Sr. and Mary Brazzell Miner.

Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife, Trisha Miner of Rock Hill, SC; his sons, Sergeant First Class Kenneth George White Jr. (wife, Sunshine), stationed in Daegu, South Korea, and James Miner of Rock Hill, SC. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Airman Ke’luhv White of Dover Air Force Base, Dover, DE, Electra White of Oahu, Hawaii; and Jeremy and Laney Miner of Junction City, OR. Jimmy also had a special place in his heart for his loyal fur-children Mickey, Maris, Kubek, and Rocky. He will be dearly missed by his lifelong friend, Robby Gainey. Jimmy is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Bebhinn Miner.

Jimmy found joy in baseball, golf and softball. He enjoyed playing little league baseball in the 1960s. He worked for 30 years at Celanese Textile, where he was known for his dedication and work ethic. He proudly served his country, entering the U.S. Army in 1968, an honor he held throughout his life.

Family will have a visitation held at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, located at 2133 Ebenezer Rd., on Saturday, November 16, at 12 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Laurelwood Cemetery with Don Gillespie officiating and military honors present.  Also, the family would like to receive friends at their home.

Jimmy will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his friends, and his country.
