Rock Hill, SC – Pamela Baxter, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Born on September 23, 1953, in Dennison, Ohio, Pamela was the beloved daughter of the late James Benjamin Lukens and Maxine Lukens (née Castille). Her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength, guidance, and a deep sense of purpose.
Her kindness, generosity, and ability to form strong friendships touched many lives. She had a special love for children, bringing warmth, encouragement, and laughter wherever she went. She was resilient to life’s difficulties, and continued to nurture, give, and offer light to others in the midst of her own struggles. She loved golf, travel, and the sound and feel of ocean waves.
Pamela is survived by her two sons, Ryan Baxter (Denver, CO) and Jon Baxter (Gastonia, NC); her brother, James Benjamin Lukens Jr. (Canton, OH); and sister, Ja-Bea Inman (Canton, OH).
Pamela’s memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service for Pamela will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 2pm with Kathie Baxter officiating, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
