Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Richard Edward Inman, Jr. passed away quietly of natural causes August 31, 2024. He was born April 6, 1969, and was the beloved son of the late Richard Edward Inman and Carol Inman. He was the proud father and father-in-law of Graham Inman and his wife, Melissa, and Spencer Inman and his wife, Gretchen.
Richard was a graduate of Presbyterian College, class of 1991, where he made life long friend. He continued his education in Law Enforcement at South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy obtaining training and certifications and advanced skills in many fields of law enforcement. He was dedicated and successful in his chosen career serving with distinction. Richard served at Greenville County Sheriffs Office, Greenville City Police Dept, and Lieutenant of the Criminal Investigations Division, at Fountain Inn Police Dept and Chief of Police at Williamston, S. C. He served until the removal of a soft ball size brain tumor in the right front lobe, caused severe issues, and changed his life and future forever.
Richard left a legacy of his own having done many episodes on Spotify,(see Richard Inman under the True Crimes genre). In an episode shortly before he passed, he spoke of God’s Grace and Sovereignty through out his life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 1:30 at Pretty Place, 4399 YMCA Camp Rd., Cleveland, South Carolina 29635.
