Jenny Sue Brannen Cornwell age 76, of Rock Hill passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 2, 2024. Jenny was born February 8, 1948 to Lindsey “Buddy” Brannen and Martha Simpson Brannen. She was the second born of five children.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Edgemoor ARP Church, 2135 Starnes Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712 with Reverend Bob Elliott, III officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 pm at the church.
Jenny married Edward Jackson (Jack) Cornwell in 1967 and had two daughters; Martha Jane Few (Chris) and Kimberly Joy Ticko (Kevin). She is survived by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchild and siblings, Jane McCain, JoAnn McFadden, Jackie Martin, and Jamie Brannen as well as many nieces and nephews which she loved dearly. Jenny served as choir director, organist and pianist at three churches over the years. She was a very creative and talented person. Jenny enjoyed painting, interior decorating, crafting, and floral design.
Gardening was another passion of hers. She especially loved creating succulent gardens in her last years. She was a truly loved wife, mother, sister, friend, and mentor to all she met. Jenny was a person of selfless love and enduring understanding to everyone she encountered. She lived by the rule to put God first and love thy neighbor. Her precious soul shall endure in everyone that she touched from now to eternity.
Memorials may be made in Jenny’s name to Edgemoor ARP Church Choir Fund, 2135 Starnes Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712.
