Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Ronald Lynn Dyson, aged 80, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, after a decade-long battle with dementia. His family was by his side during his final moments.

Born on September 16, 1943, in Wilmington, NC, Ronald was the son of the late Robert Leon Dyson and the late Martha Cornelia Moore. He was a man of many passions, including woodworking, riding his motorcycle, and serving his church. His commitment to his church was a cornerstone of his life, and his faith provided him strength. Ronald also cherished music of all kinds and had a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren, who he held close to his heart.  His kindness touched the lives of many and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Ronald was a dedicated and longtime employee of Comporium. He spent 40 years of his career there, where he found great joy and fulfillment in his work. After decades of service, Ronald retired in February of 2009 as the Vice President of Network Services.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Pope Dyson. His daughters, Tracy Young (Bob) and Leigh Little (David), both reside in Rock Hill, SC. His grandchildren, who brought him great joy, Jake Gaulden (Mallory Ketchem) of Portland, OR, Brad Young of Rock Hill, SC, Abbie Blair (Chance) of York, SC, and Alex Little (Chloe) also of York, SC.

A visitation for Mr. Ronald will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Catawba Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Followed by a service at 12 pm with Rev. Dr. Mark Verdery and Dr. Ron Richardson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Ronald’s name to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
