Claudia was known for her strong Christian faith. She shared her beliefs readily with others. Every weekday, she sent scripture verses to over 80 people via email and text. She loved walking outdoors, exploring antique stores, and traveling. Her love for animals, particularly horses, was well-known. Claudia also enjoyed tea parties and had a special affinity for trains. In the Charlotte area, she was the principal oboist for the Charlotte Civic Orchestra, Central Piedmont Opera, Gardner-Webb Orchestra, and even traveled to play in the Myrtle Beach Symphony. Her love for drawing was expressed through the hand-painted Christmas cards she sent to family and friends each year.
Throughout her medical challenges in the past 14 months, Claudia remained a bright, shining light for God. She often shared how she felt God’s presence during her journey, especially before her surgery when she believed God reassured her with the words, “I got this; you just need to give honor and praise to Me.” Her life was a testament to her faith and love for others. Claudia’s favorite scripture, Psalm 143:8, reflected her trust in God’s unfailing love. Claudia’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
