Willie Joann Costner strolled into heaven on Saturday, August 10, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1944 to Leroy Hartsell and Margaret Porter Hartsell. Joann was greeted in heaven by her parents, her husband, and many family members. Joann is survived by her siblings, Barbara Alford, Billy Wayne Hartsell, and Linda Chandler; her caregiver and niece, Darlene Messer; her children; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
There will be a graveside service for Joann at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Ornan Costner.
