Fort Mill, SC – Mr. Carl Eugene Neely, Jr., 76, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at his home. He was born on December 6, 1947 in Charlotte, NC and was the son of the late Carl Eugene Neely, Sr. and Virginia Sue Moore Neely.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Rev. David Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
Carl was an avid hunter, fisherman and successful businessman. He enjoyed many years of friendship with members of the York Shag Club and was a member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill.
Carl is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanne S. Neely; his daughters, Melissa Ann Neely of York and Carrie Neely Hamilton of Rock Hill; his brother, Jesse Edward Neely (Jane) of Rock Hill; three grandchildren, Cameron R. Neely, Elizabeth K. Stinson (Davon) and Jackson Colby Hamilton; and one great-grandchild, Maddox Stinson.
