Rock Hill, SC – Luis Antonio Morell, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at his home.
Luis Antonio Morell was born on July 28, 1944, in Camuy, Puerto Rico. Mr. Morell started his work life in the Air Force at the age of seventeen, serving in Vietnam and the Asia Pacific. He transitioned into an industrial machine technician and retired as a driver in the transportation industry. He will be remembered as a very dedicated and hard worker. He was especially dedicated to his family and was an amazing father, husband, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Nélida Morell Borrero; his children, Mark Morell (Sharon), Elizabeth Morell (Noberto Pantaleon), and Erik Morell; his brother, Jorge Morell; his grandchildren, Megan Pantaleon, Josh Pantaleon, Mark Morell Jr., Nelissa Morell, Elissa Morell, Joemanuel Cortes, Adrian Morell, and Christian Morell; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held for Mr. Luis Morell at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will take place privately the following day, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC.
