Rock Hill, SC – Cathy J. Grose, 69, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024 at her home.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:30 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Cathy was the daughter of the late Virgil Ray Hargett and the late Gladys Inez Brock Hargett. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Cherry, and her sisters, Joyce Ratliff, Wanda Bayne, and Allie Woods.
Cathy loved cooking and working in the catering industry. She enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, but most of all, spending time with her family. She especially loved Christmas, decorating every room with a Christmas tree.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Michael Grose; her daughters, Jewell Gregory (Robert) and Amanda Grose Carlton; her sons, Ronald Cherry, II (Sandra), and Matthew Grose (Becca); her brother, Ray Hargett (Sherry); her sisters, Linda Barfield and Doris Knotts (Roger); 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
