Rock Hill, SC – Carolyn Padgett passed away on July 1, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. Born on April 22, 1942 to the late Robert Leroy Bartles and the late Ruth Aline Berry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gilbert Padgett.
Carolyn was survived by her two sons, Gilbert Padgett (Lynn) and John Padgett; daughter, Susan Prater (Benson); brother, Donald R. Fogleman; sister, Jo E. Fogleman; five grandchildren, John Padgett II (Michelle), Benjamin Prater (Jennifer), Tiffany McManus (Garrett), Matthew Prater (Kaitlyn), Hunter Padgett; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Liberty Church in York, SC. She was heavily involved with missions, children’s church, VBS, and Sunday school. She was a prime example of Jesus Christ. Carolyn absolutely adored and loved her grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 9 AM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732. A funeral ceremony will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
