Rock Hill, SC – Troy Eugene Carver, 69, also known as Gene, Cowboy, Poke, and Pop left this earth peacefully while surrounded by his wife, children, and sister. He was the son of the late Troy and Muriel Carver. He leaves behind his beautiful wife of almost 44 years, Wanda Carver, whom he adored every single day, his favorite son, Troy Carver (Crystal), his favorite daughter, Morgan Carver (Unmarried and slightly feral), his favorite grandson, Gene, his favorite granddaughters, Ray, Iris, Millie, and Cheyenne, and his favorite great-grandson, Christian. He also leaves behind his sister, brother, countless cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who adored him.

Gene will be remembered and celebrated for his unwavering positivity, his fun spirit, and his hilarious sense of humor. His love and support for his wife, kids, and grandchildren has set them up to continue his legacy of having a great time and showing unconditional love to those around him. His friends and family will miss the way he told stories and the way he always made people laugh. Gene could catch and ride any animal barehanded, blindfolded, and barefoot, and he always had a good knife and a sturdy spotlight readily available.

The only place he will not be missed is the Newport DMV, where he has been proudly banned for several years. The family will welcome all those who love Gene to celebrate his life soon and will reach out once the celebration is scheduled.
