Rock Hill – Robert Lee Holt “Bob” 72 went to be with our Lord and Savior, on May 9th, 2024, at his home. He is the son of Thomas “Bud” and Virgie (Kiddy) Holt. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald “Ron” Holt.
Robert is married to Judy Whipkey Holt, for what would have been 53 years this May 22. In addition to his wife Judy, they have three children; son, Tony Holt (Erica) and their children, Kyland (Haley) and Justin, daughters, Cristy Clack (Royce) and their children, Madison, Nathaniel and Samuel, and Teri Beasley (Matthew) and their children, Tristan (Kambrie), Ryleigh, Ethan and Owen. He is also survived by siblings, Barbara Ochoa, Janice Shrader, Thomas Holt (Pam), sister-in-law’s Rose Holt, Vickie Watkins (John), and brother-in-law Gregory Whipkey (Debbie).
Bob was a star athlete excelling in football and wrestling at Jenner Boswell High School, Boswell, PA. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, watching NASCAR, and “The Walking Dead.”
He was a member of El Bethel Methodist Church, Fort Lawn, where he was chairman of the board. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing many stories and life lessons with them. He loved and valued each one so much.
He retired from Bowater Paper Mill after 35 years, where he made lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends Greene’s Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732 on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 6pm-7:30pm.
A celebration of life will be held at El Bethel Methodist in Fort Lawn on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 2pm.
