James Lee Reece was born August 10, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Junior Lee Reece and Shirley Mae Baker. He was the youngest of four siblings, two step-sisters Donna and Sheila, and one step-brother Steve. His younger years were spent in rural Wellington, Ohio and he entered the workforce at the age of 15. As a blue-collar worker, he had many jobs from welder to factory worker but eventually he made a career as a driver/dispatcher for Executive Cars of Charlotte.
Jim’s first child Eric was born in 1975 and his second, Katrina was born in 1978. He met his wife Pam in 1980 and they had two children Amber born in 1987 and Austin born in 1990, together they enjoyed 44 years together.
Jim’s passion in life was his family, and he worked hard to provide them everything they needed. In his free time he enjoyed shooting pool, camping, fishing, golfing, and trips with his family.
He passed away May 5, 2024 in Rock Hill, SC due to complications from heart surgery. He is survived by his wife Pamela Reece, his daughter Amber Reece, his son Austin Reece, his grandson Everett Reece; his daughter Katrina Tutak, his son-in-law Joe Tutak, his grandson, Spencer Myers; his son Eric Reece; his sister Donna Sawyer; his brother Steve Baker.
There will be a visitation with the family at 3pm followed by a memorial service at 4pm, this Friday, May 10, 2024 hosted by and at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly off Highway 49 on 5766 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
