Terrence J. White, Sr., age 99, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 07, 2023, surrounded by his family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Sharon Memorial Garden, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.
Mr. White was a loving husband and father. He was born on November 8, 1924 in San Rafael, CA. Mr. White joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and was a member of the 11th Airborne Division, which served in the Pacific. He was a proud World War II Veteran. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 38 years of service.
Mr. White was married for 69 years to his beloved Elsie White, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Bethany Childers.
Mr. White is survived by his daughter, Vickie W. McWhirter (Bill); his son, Terrence J. White, Jr., (Cynthia); his grandchildren, T.J. White III (Beth), Abby W. Childers (Todd), Kimberly M. Hartis (Mark), and Shane M. Hartis; 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
