Rock Hill, SC -Roy Alan Jones, 69, passed away on September 25, 2023 at Atrium Health Main, Charlotte, NC.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill for friends and family to remember and celebrate Roy’s life.
Born in McKeesport, PA, Roy was the youngest son of the late F. Alan Jones and the late Donna Price Jones. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Jones and sister, Lynn Vehec. Roy was a graduate of the University of Miami and went on to earn an MBA from the University of West Georgia, leading to a career as a financial analyst. He enjoyed swimming, playing racquetball, traveling, and spending time with family.
Roy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wendy Coleman Jones; his daughter, Carolyn (Neil) Friedrich of Pittsburgh, PA; his sister-in-law, Karen L. Coleman of Fort Myers, FL.
