Lynda Lou Elliott, of Rock Hill, South Carolina entered her eternal home in heaven on March 4, 2023.
Born on June 27, 1944 to Francis and Frances Zinsitz in Weatherford, Texas, Lynda was preceded in death by her loving parents; her son, Charles D. Price, Jr; and brother, Jerry Zinsitz.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Doug Elliiott; daughter, Christina Hardin; grandson, Andrew Mode; brothers Ron Zinsitz, Louie Zinsitz, and Doug Zinsitz; and a number of nieces, nephews; and daughters and sons of the faith, many of whom she called her own children.
She was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and a current member of Christ Ridge Presbyterian Church. Lynda dearly loved her work with Mission to the World, the international missions agency of the PCA, and served the South Africa Region for that agency for over a decade. She also served with the International Student Ministry at Winthrop, mentored many young women, was a faithful friend to many, was a faithful leader of a Titus 2 group of younger women, attended multiple Bible Studies and circles weekly, was an active member of the York County Quilters Guild, and travelled to South Africa, Hong Kong, Taiwan, England, and Mexico on mission trips. All who knew her well knew her by her heart for the Lord and persistent labors for the Kingdom. Lynda loved God’s word, and highly valued the memorization of scripture. She rested in the Lord’s promises, and looked forward to her eternal home.
A memorial service will be held on March 14th at 4PM at Westminster Church: 1320 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Christ Ridge Presbyterian Church: 1070 Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29708.
