Rock Hill, SC – Geraldine “Jerry” Hickman Johnston, 83, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Westminster Rehab.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 481 Hood Center Drive, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Jamie Burdette officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:15 pm prior to the service.
Born in Aiken, SC, Mrs. Johnston was the daughter of the late Leonard Hickman and the late Nell Smith Hickman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Johnston, Jr. She was retired as a Registered Nurse. After retiring from nursing, she greatly enjoyed working at The Market on Herlong. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her daughter, Kimberly J. (Tony) Tucker of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, Jamie (Kristin) Tucker and Colton (Anna) Tucker; great-grandchildren, Rawls and Evelyn; three sisters, Patsy Davis of Raleigh, NC, Carey (Jack) Parsons and Jo (Sonny) Smith both of Simpsonville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Geraldine Johnston’s name to First Baptist Church, 481 Hood Center Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29732 or Interim Hospice, 154 Amendment Ave. Suite 106, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
