ROCK HILL - Mrs. Elizabeth Broome Craig, 82, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 surrounded by her family.
The funeral will be held at 2pm on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. Craig was a daughter of the late Clarence Russell Broome, Sr. and the late Julia Alma Ayers Broome. She was retired from Fruehauf Corporation and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a caregiver in many different ways. She was known as Nanny and she was the family advisor in all matters. She was the widow of Billy Houston Craig and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jennifer Lynch and Maxine Cunnup.
Surviving are her daughters, Sandra C. Parker (Tim), Deborah C. Sanders and Rhonda C. Pittman (David), all of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, LaShawn McCormick, David “Bubba” Pittman, Jr., Michael E. Sanders, Jr., Elicia Miller, Amanda Prusator and Ashley Miller; her great-granddaughter, Sterlyn Ann Sanders, who she lovingly took care of plus eleven more great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Clarence “Russ” Broome, Jr. and Tommy Broome, both of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill and other times at the home.
